2008, the New Year.

I wish I could get excited and motivated about the New Year.  But, Aunt Flow came for a visit :)  So, I am just feeling like watching the Lifetime Movie Channel for every second of the day, not wanting to move or brush my teeth.

In fact, that is what I did for New Year's day.  And, I have decided I most likely won't kick into the resolution mindframe until the 7th.  My partner on the radio show will be back on that Mon.  It is the first Monday of the New Year, and I will be getting back from Detroit.  It is too hard to focus on these changes when I have 1 more trip before I have some time for myself.  BTW, I am going to my cousin's wedding on Sat.  I will get to see some of my Dad's side of the fam.

OKAY, I guess I still really need to decide what I want to accomplish this year.  Surprisingly, I actually DID check off a ton from my list of resolutions from last year.  I signed a new hosting contract and I didn't have to even move.  (BTW, why is it when you make a job decision, then you get a zillion calls for other gigs.  that ALWAYS happens).  Financially, I met all my goals...(well, I would like to win the lottery, but you have to play to win).  I took my 1 trip a year out of the country for my Bro's wedding.  THE BEST TRIP EVER.  I am thinking this year it will be a girl's trip.  I have a few people who have called wanting to go to Ireland and Scotland.  So, this might be a possibility.  And, if any of you want to go...that would be great.  I did pretty well with the workout game.  In fact, I am better than I have been in a few years.  Although, there is always work to still be done :)

I don't want to bore you with the same boring resolution stuff.  I just have a feeling that most people on this blog site, at least my friends and I have the same goals...just because we are in the same place in life.  So, I am thinking I am not saying anything much different from the girls.

HMMMM...did y'all have a good New Year's?  What did you do?  I went to my friend Staci's house who works at my old station.  I might post some video from the night.  It was fun.  I sat in on New Year's day and eventually ventured out for coffee at night with Alexis who works at my current station.  I have the absolute BEST local coffee shop here in the Twin Cities.

So, let's get a few quick goals, maybe I need to get knocked up?  Maybe a man...maybe.  Up the amount of $$$ that I put into savings, etc.  Start a WHOLE separate account for a vacation fund.  Organize, organize, organize.  Hmmm...more trips.  I want to take a trip to Austin and LA to visit the friends.  DEFINITELY the Austin trip.  I do have a trip at the end of July for my radio convention thing.  Hmmm....what else?  I need to focus and get the real list narrowed down.  I need only attainable goals or I will feel like a failure.
