A crazy thing called life...

Minneapolis is the best city when it is warm.  Today I woke up, went for a walk, met my friend at Key's cafe downtown for coffee and grub.  We got rained on during the walk back.  I had a really good time. 

Then, I went to St. Paul...I miss it there too.  I did a little shopping, bookstores, more coffee, and then some cleaning.  Later a friend came over, we hung on the roof with all the neighbors.  Everyone was drinking wine, having fun, BBQing, and playing with the smallest dog I ever met named KILLER Marie.  We have the most amazing view.  And, Minnesotans are just soooo happy to be able to be outside that everyone has a blissful aura surrounding their smiling existence.  AND, I am just happy to be able to wear skirts without having to wear the knee lenth BOOTS. 

BUT here is the deal.  You FINALLY meet someone that might actually have a couple of things on your extremely long list of must-haves.  Not to mention there is a lot more that people put on the table these days...some have been married, or have kids, or have been in jail(kidding!).  But, you get what I mean...men in their 30's don't come with a clean slate anymore.  But, I suppose I don't either.  However, I am in a really good place, and that should count for something.

When can you officially be done?  You might find someone you think would be great, but then they don't have a job.  OR, they have a great job, but they only want friends with benefits, OR, they might be all around wonderful, but you aren't attracted to them.  I know at some point when you aren't looking, it just happens.  BUT, believe me...I haven't been looking.  I know I should be...all the time.  It is just A LOT of work.  And, it is wayyyyy too hard to meet someone and have any spark.  And, when you do find the spark...for various reasons...it doesn't work.

Wait...this is the main issue I think.  CHEMISTRY.  It is nearly impossible to find great chemistry.  We might be lucky to have chemistry with a few people in our lives if we are lucky.  AND, is it really worth it to just be with someone just because they are nice?  We had an "elderly" woman call the show last week.  (She described herself that way....not us).  She said, the main thing is to find someone who loves you more than you luv them.  ARE YOU SERIOUS?  I think that might suck....and when you love someone more than they love you...well, that isn't good either.  I would never want to be with someone who loved me more than I loved them.  I would never be satisfied.  I would always wonder about others.

You know....the funny thing is, I just really don't care.  I just want to be happy, and if I can't find anyone who is in the same place as me, or there is no chemistry, or they can't give me what I need....well, it just isn't worth it.  I will give someone what they need...I just will never accept being second to anything...well, unless someone has a kid.  I will be 2nd for that without a problem.  And, you can't force chemistry...been there...tried to do that.  That sucks too.  WOW, Aunt Flow is mean today....

Okay, have a good night. I need to go workout.  I am going home in a week and a half to see my fam and friends.  I have a convention this week in town.  And, then at the end of July I booked my trip to Denver for the other convention.  My busy 2 months continues....wait, everyone is busy...I get that.
